“The Riddle of the Unicorn is a fantastical musical mystery about a unicorn who falls from a cloud and searches for a way back home. During his journey, he discovers the magical powers of his horn and saves the inhabitants of Earth from ecological disasters, thus befriending them. But how to get back to the magical land of the Unicorn?

“There are not so many contemporary classical music works for children in Lithuania, one could count them on the fingers of one hand. “The Unicorn’s Riddle” is a project where you just have to come with an open heart, without preconceptions. This is a great opus of programmatic music. “The Riddle of the Unicorn” is a multi-layered, expressive work. The unique sound of the individual instruments is perfectly revealed here,” says S. Latvėnaitė-Kričenienė, one of the creators.

Edita Jaraminienė, the head of the choir singing school “Liepaitės”, says that the greatest value of this project is that it has put together the most important musical basics that children need. They are essential for everyone, as they help to develop hearing, broaden musical horizons, allow to feel the emotional contrast of music and awaken imagination. “In Lithuania, we don’t have many children’s works of this level, where a classical work for their age is presented in such a sensitive and complete way. I really believe that those who will come to the concert, or those who will read the book or listen to the recording, will experience great pleasure and spend their free time in a meaningful way,” emphasises the director, E. Jaraminienė.

Recommended for children from 3 years.
