The rooftop music picnic, now in its third year, is becoming an unmissable summer tradition! This time, it will be a particularly soul-stirring celebration of Lithuanian culture. “Vieno prancūzo sandėliukas,” “La Petite Patisserie,” the Pažaislis Music Festival, and the picnic’s new friends—the “Knygnešys” bar—invite you to this unique venue with a view of the Church of the Resurrection. This year’s featured performer on the rooftop is ROKAS KAŠĖTA, a musician from the Varėna district and the pioneer of the dzūkodelika genre. Dzūkodelika is modern musical creativity in the Dzūkian dialect—Dzūkian world music. Since the rooftop isn’t limitless, we’d like to remind you that space is extremely limited at the picnics held here. So, those of you who make it, we’ll journey across the bridges Rokas builds between the Dzūkian dialect and contemporary forms of musical expression, sample “Knygnešio” cocktails prepared especially for this event, and enjoy the gourmet treats hidden in our picnic baskets.
