AYOM is a group of six musicians united by their passion for traditional African and South American music. Each member brings with them a distinct history, whether Brazilian, Italian, Greek or Angolan, which fuses into a unique fusion of sounds. Meeting in Lisbon, the six artists have discovered a common musical language, featuring the rhythms of Brazil, Angola and Cape Verde, intertwined with South American and African musical traditions.
AYOM concerts are an experience that transcends language and brings people together as a community. It is not only the rhythms, but also the emotions that make the audience feel freedom, joy and communion.
This year, AYOM presents their new album “Sa.Li.Va”, the title of which reflects the three main impulses behind their music: “SA-grado” (sacredness), “LI-berdade” (freedom and love) and “VA-lentia” (courage). This album, produced by Latin Grammy winner Guilherme Kastrup, combines organic and electronic sounds, revealing a new but still authentic musical identity for AYOM.
Traditional rhythms such as semba, funaná, maracatu, kizomba, maloya and many others will be played on stage, capturing the vitality of different cultures. The power of AYOM’s music lies not only in its versatility, but also in its ability to create an emotional connection with the audience, so we invite you to experience together a celebration where freedom, tradition and contemporary energy meet.
